Equipment Basics:
Equipment manufactures are all pretty much equal in the industry.
However ADT requires specific additional standards to be met because ADT certifies and warranties all equipment that is installed and monitored for life.
The type of equipment used is specific to the Dealer and the individual installation.
- We NEVER speak to specific equipment / model numbers etc.
- We ONLY speak in general about equipment. “A Motion Detector” “A Control Panel” etc.
Specific Equipment Information:
DIGITAL KEYPAD – with just one touch of a button you have access to fire, medical and police dispatch
KEYCHAIN REMOTE ACCESS (Keyfob)– use this lightweight and convenient keychain remote to arm or disarm your system from any room
MOTION DETECTORS – this advanced motion detector distinguishes between pets and humans, reducing the incidence of false alarms
3 POINTS OF PROTECTION – wireless door and window sensors (featuring an audible alarm) that can be easily moved and expanded for optimal perimeter protection
HIGH DECIBLE ALARM SIREN – loud enough to alert your family and your neighbors that an intrusion is occurring, and loud enough to scare off would-be intruders
BATTERY BACKUP – in case of a power outage, your ADT high-capacity battery backup system will keep your home and family protected. ADT will also call to inform you when there is approx 4hrs of battery life left.
ADT SECURITY YARD SIGN & WINDOW DECALS –would-be intruders know immediately that your home is protected by ADT Home Security.
PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION – a certified ADT Professional will install and set-up your wireless home alarm system and answer all your questions
Dealer Add-On Equipment
Special local or regional offers may impact a Dealers ability to compete in certain areas of the country, and they may offer additional equipment at a discount, or for free. Since this is money out of there own pockets that’s fine.
Discounts on additional equipment at the time of the sale are counted against our revenue. We DO NOT want to offer additional equipment at a discount.
If the customer is indicating another security company is offering a promotion or special that is simply an objection that needs to be overcome. On some occasions your manager may authorize a discounted price.
With all that said, we don’t want you to lose the deal…. Talk to your manager!!
